God Is Love 

having faith is like running on $3 worth of gas.  

sometimes we think the manufacturer is wrong,  

but just like we didn't make the car,  

we didn't create ourselves.  

 

it takes so much to raise your head.  

let your arms drop  

and think he's got me.  

 

that's what life does.  

teaches us our best is someone else's worst,  

and no competition can prepare us for reality.  

 

but when things get hard remember  

you didn't get where you are because of luck.  

 

either everything happens for a reason  

or some things happen for no reason,  

and if you believe both or neither,  

you know as well as me that things happen—  

point blank period.  

 

the solace we find is knowing we didn't make this puzzle,  

so why solve it?  

why let its unsteady dictate our steady?  

 

instead give more,  

be more,  

and know God is love.
