Meet Vince!

My name is Vincent J. Osborne III, and I am the head author at The Lost Poets LLC. Our collective creates poetry that raises awareness about mental health and highlights the social challenges faced by minority communities.

Our mission is to use poetry to inspire understanding, spark conversation, and encourage positive change. We aim to reach more people, expand our programs, and continue promoting mental health awareness and social justice. Funding and support help us grow this work and make a real impact.

Each year, The Lost Poets LLC donates hundreds of books to schools, nonprofits, and reform centers to uplift and inspire new writers.

I am an author and artist from Long Beach, California, the fifth of nine children. I discovered my love for writing at age seven and attended Polytechnic High School before continuing my education through homeschooling to focus on my academics. Early on, I was drawn to stories about social and economic inequality, which shaped my writing style.

In 2019, I published my first book, The Lost Poets: Suicide Notes, created with four West Coast authors through Instagram. We promoted the project through live poetry readings on YouTube. My second book, The Lost Poets: Black in 2019, was released in 2020 and features powerful perspectives from African American and African writers on what it means to be young and Black today.

I now live in Portland, Oregon, where I’ve spent the past ten years growing as a writer and connecting with an amazing community. Thank you for supporting my work and the poetry we create.

Ase’
